Kristen W. Green, PhD, ABPP
Board Certified Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychologist
Owner & Director
Dr. Kristen Green is a Board Certified Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychologist specializing in the provision of psychological services for children, adolescents university-age students. Dr. Green specializes in therapy and psychological testing with children and adolescents with a variety of problems. She has specialty training in working with children and adolescents, ages 2 - 18. She has worked successfully with children with developmental delays, behavioral problems, mood disorders, ADHD, adjustment issues (divorce, death, illness, general stress), anxiety/OCD, and

autism spectrum conditions. In therapy, Dr. Green tends toward a cognitive-behavioral framework and also utilizes mindfulness, play, DBT, and psychodynamic techniques.
Dr. Green specializes in the differential diagnosis of mental health disorders in children and adolescents. She believes that a proper understanding of the origins and nature of a child's difficulties are key to effective intervention. She approaches her work with assessment and therapy clients with the goal of fully understanding each client and his/her/their unique circumstances.
Dr. Green works closely with the parents/families of the children in her practice. Children and adolescents are most successful in therapy when their parents/families are committed to being involved and supporting their children in the therapeutic process.
Dr. Green is board certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. Dr. Green opened Chattahoochee Child Psychology Services, LLC in 2008 and has been in private practice in Gainesville, GA since then. Dr. Green has been a licensed psychologist for more than 20 years. In 2024, the practice name was changed to Chattahoochee Counseling & Psychology Services to accommodate our expanded services to clients of all ages.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Green holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in School Psychology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Green earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in child and adolescent psychology, at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Green completed her internship and postdoctoral training in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at Applewood Centers, Inc., a community mental health center, in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Green is certified in HeartMath(R) Interventions. Dr. Green is also an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA.
Dr. Green accepts Georgia Medicaid, Aetna, and Cigna. Dr. Green sees clients in the Gainesville office and online.

Doctoral Intern
Hafsa Ahmed, MS
Ms. Ahmed holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. Ms. Ahmed is enrolled in the PsyD program at Brenau University. She is completing her pre-doctoral internship rotation in psychological assessment. Ms. Ahmed conducts psychological testing under the supervision of Dr. Green, and she has been with CCPS since November 2024. Ms. Ahmed accepts Cigna and Aetna insurance under Dr. Green's supervision.

Tomeki Davis, MS, LPC
Ms. Davis holds a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University. Ms. Davis is enrolled in the PsyD program at Brenau University. She is completing her pre-doctoral internship rotation in psychological assessment. Ms. Davis conducts psychological testing under the supervision of Dr. Green, and she has been with CCPS since August 2025. Ms. Davis accepts Cigna and Aetna insurance under Dr. Green's supervision.

Kaleigh Knight, MS, LPC
Ms. Knight holds a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She completed her practicum and internship experiences at The Brenau Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (BCCPS), a community mental health clinic which offers individual, family, and couples therapy. She has completed training in ADOS2 administration. She conducts psychological testing under the supervision of Dr. Green. She has been with CCPS since May 2020. Ms. Knight sees children, adolescents, adults, and couples in the Gainesville office and online.

Ms. Pittman holds a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She completed her her practicum and internship experiences with CCPS and The Brenau Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (BCCPS), a community mental health clinic which offers individual, family, and couples therapy. Ms. Pittman is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Green and Heather Herrington, MS, CPCS. She has been with CCPS since May 2023. Harlee Parden, MS, LAPC
Ms. Parden holds a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She completed her practicum and internship experiences at Hall County Schools, as well as the Brenau Center for Counseling & Psychological Services (BCCPS), a community mental health clinic that offers individual, family, and couples therapy. She conducts psychological testing under the supervision of Dr. Green and is currently working towards licensure under the supervision of Heather Harrington, LPC, CPCS. Ms. Parden has been with CCPS since May 2025. Ms. Parden sees adolescents, adults, and couples in the Gainesville office and online.

David Jenkins, MDiv, MA, LAPC
Mr. Jenkins holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia. He has been with CCPS since May 2023. He holds a previous master's degree in Divinity and was involved in Pastoral Counseling for 9 years. Mr. Jenkins is currently working under the supervision of Dr. Green and Heather Herrington, MS, CPCS. Mr. Jenkins sees children and their parents, adolescents, adults, and couples in the Flowery Branch office and online.

Counselor
Kristina Cersey, MS
Mrs. Cersey holds a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University, with a specialization in psychological assessment. She completed her practicum and internship at several locations: The Brenau Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (BCCPS), a community-based training clinic that provides affordable individual, family, and couples counseling services, East Hall High School, were she provided clinical counseling intervention for students, and The Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders, a nationally recognized treatment center specializing in comprehensive care for individuals struggling with eating disorders. She also has group experience working with caregivers of aging adults, parents, and people struggling with various health challenges.
Mrs. Cersey works with adolescents and adults and utilizes a strength-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach to support clients navigating life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and other challenges.
Mrs. Cersey is currently practicing under the supervision of Dr. Green and Heather Herrington, MS, CPCS, as she works toward licensure.

Catherine Thompson, MS
Ms. Thompson holds a master's degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She completed her practicum and internship experiences with CCPS and the Hall County Schools. Ms. Thompson is currently working under the supervision of Heather Herrington, CPCS and Dr. Green. Briona Bierkamp, MS
Ms. Bierkamp holds a master's degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She completed her practicum and internship experiences with CCPS and the Gainesville City Schools. Ms. Bierkamp is currently working under the supervision of Heather Herrington, CPCS and Dr. Green. Benjamin Jarvis, MS, LAPC
Mr. Jarvis holds a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. He completed his practicum and internship experiences and his assessment lab experience at The Brenau Center for Counseling Psychological Services (BCCPS) under Dr. Green's supervision. He also completed practicum and internship experiences in the Hall County Schools under the supervision of Dr. Philip Elrod. Mr. Jarvis is currently working towards LPC licensure under the supervision of Heather Herrington, LPC, CPCS. Mr. Jarvis has been with CCPS since June 2022. Mr. Jarvis sees adolescents, adults, and couples in the Flowery Branch office and online.

Caitlin McCallar, MS
Ms. McCallar holds a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She completed her practicum and internship experiences at The Brenau Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (BCCPS), a community mental health clinic which offers individual, family, and couples therapy and at Supporting Adoption & Foster Families Together (SAFFT). She has completed training in ADOS2 administration. Ms. McCallar is currently working towards LPC licensure under the supervision of Heather Herrington, LPC, CPCS. She has been with CCPS since May 2020. Ms. McCallar sees children, adolescents, adults, and couples online.

Ms. Hall holds a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. She completed her practicum and internship experiences at The Brenau Center for Counseling Psychological Services (BCCPS), a community mental health clinic which offers individual, family, and couples therapy and Myrtle Terraces a local living community for active older adults. Ms. Hall sees adults and geriatric clients in the Flowery Branch office and online Monday through Thursday.
